Improving biosecurity in farming is essential for preventing and controlling the spread of pathogens, which can cause significant economic losses and threaten the health of birds. Broiler chickens are mainly farmed at high density in closed environments, increasing the risk of rapid pathogen transmission if introduced. Pathogens can enter a poultry house and spread from one house to another through various vectors such as people, farm equipment, vehicles and/or other animals. In response to this significant challenge, effective biosecurity measures are essential to implement to ensure the protection of poultry farms. To enhance biosecurity on his broiler farm, a French farmer, along with other farmers, decided to allocate specific equipment and small materials by zone and by poultry house.
