Developed through a partnership between Air Breizh and the Chambers of Agriculture of Brittany, AgrivisioN’air® is a free web-based decision- support tool that helps farmers, contractors, and cooperatives reduce ammonia emissions during manure and fertilizer spreading. The platform provides three-day forecasts of nitrogen losses due to ammonia volatilisation, based on spreading techniques and weather conditions. By anticipating these losses, users can adapt their practices to preserve the fertilizing value of livestock effluents and mineral fertilizers, while minimising environmental impact. Accessible via computer, tablet, or smartphone, the tool allows for quick simulations of spreading operations, offering insights on nitrogen loss, equipment efficiency, and weather- related volatilisation risks. Users can also create an account to track operations, adjust nitrogen inputs, and generate personalised summaries with economic indicators and nitrogen balance sheets by tool or product type. AgrivisioN’air® supports short-term improvements—such as adjusting application timing or equipment use—and longer-term strategies, including investment in low-emission technologies. It contributes to both environmental and economic performance by reducing fertilizer waste, enhancing nitrogen availability for crops, and supporting sustainable manure management.
