BroilerNet held it’s kick-off meeting on September 27-29 in Almere, the Netherlands. The kick-off aimed to meet the partners of the project and to further develop the activities within the project. Project members worked in sub-groups on a detailed timeline of the project, defining the milestones and the activities within the work packages. In addition, regarding communication and dissemination, which is a core activity within the project, partners decided which media will be used to reach the various end-users of the good practices as developed in BroilerNet.
Johan Leenders, partner of the project and having a broiler farm in the Netherlands (Oranjehoen) held an inspiring talk about the development of his own broiler concept.
Apart from the project content the partners joined a bus and boat tour along and on the IJsselmeer where they could meet informally.
